Description
A high modulus, acetoxy, pure silicone sealant. Cures quickly by reacting with atmospheric moisture, giving a tough, durable and permanently flexible seal. Waterproof with excellent chemical resistance and high electrical resistance.
Specially designed for industrial and automotive applications, it conforms to BS5889 (B) ISO 11600. Used for gasket sealing replacing pre-formed gaskets, sealing of electrical cabinets, metal-to-metal and metal-to-glass expansion joints and general waterproofing and sealing.
The product has a wide area of application which includes the following:
- Industrial and Engineering uses, such as gasket sealing etc.
- Metal to metal and metal glass expansion joints.
- Joints and seals subject to areas of periodic high temperature*
- Marine sealing and bonding.
- Sealing worktops and panels.
- Refrigeration and hygiene seal.
- Butt and channel glazing.
*Where constant high temperatures are experienced please use Delta D212/D213.
Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from all traces of grease, oil, wax and dust. The bond faces are best treated with a cleaning agent such as D406 Surface Preparation Cleaner or D513 Cleansing Wipes.
Cut the end cap from the cartridge leaving the thread attached, fit the nozzle and cut to the desired angle to suit the application. Apply using a pneumatic or manually operated cartridge gun. When making a joint, masking tape should be used to prevent contamination of adjacent substrates and ensure a neat sealing line. Masking tape should be removed immediately after tooling. The joint should be tooled within 5 minutes of application to ensure good contact between the sealant and the substrate. tooling of the sealant gives a smooth professional finish.
