- Meths is a completely denatured alcohol with a variety of uses, including:
- For use in triangia and certain other stoves for cooking/light.
- As a fondue burning fuel.
- As a glass cleaner.
- Thinner for shellac based french polishes.
- Clean up solvent for shellac based blocking primers.
- Evaporating cleaning solvent for sensitive electrical equipment.
- Available in a variety of sizes, larger sizes are hazardous for transport and may not be available in small quantities for Highland/Island postcodes.
